- 14T0313_sol This solicitation is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use the FBO site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This requirement is for twenty-two (22) each 20MM Ammo Feed Chutes, Standard Armament P/N S205179-101-NC. SOLE SOURCE- The proposed firm-fixed price contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Standard Armament Industries, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). This is being sole sourced because Standard Armament Industries produces the required feed chute that has undergone ground and flight testing and has been deployed to the fleet. Substitution of a different feed chute would require the complete testing process to be redone with cost duplication and time delays, resulting in missed deliveries to the fleet. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR 13. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N00164-14-T-0313 is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
