Description
DESIGN AGENT RFP Description: This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division has issued a solicitation of a sole source, follow-on, Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), single award contract with The Boeing Company for Design Agent and Technical Engineering services in support of the AN/USQ-82(V) Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS) program. The services to be provided include Design Agent and technical engineering services for product improvements, engineering change developments, engineering change development, technical document updates, development of interface design documents, installation support, logistics (including configuration management) and land based test sites and house system support. This requirement will be solicited in accordance with the authority of 10 U.S. C 2304 (c) (1) and FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), "Only One Responsible Source". The services are currently being provided to the Navy under contract N00178-09-C-2005 by The Boeing Company, 5301 Bolsa Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Boeing is the only source with the knowledge of design, development and production of AN/USQ-82(V) GEDMS capable of providing the required engineering services. The period of performance is anticipated to be for a total length of thirty six (36 months), including one base year consisting of 12 months, one option year consisting of 12 months and one award term option year consisting of 12 months.
