- This is a sources sought as part of the market research process. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This notice is for planning and information purposes only. The Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought. All the information submitted will be considered and treated as public information. The vendor should not include any pricing or proprietary information. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote; therefore, responses to this notice will not be accepted as offers. The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of contractors that might be interested to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price terrazzo floor repair project. NAICS code for this acquisition is 238340- Tile and Terrazzo Contractors. The Size Standard is $15 Million. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The type of solicitation issued will depend upon the responses received to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsive contractors. Brief Description of the Project The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, material, equipment, facilities, transportation and other items necessary to accomplish a repair and finishing of the terrazzo floor. The General Services Administration in Region 8, is initiating a project to remove stun mark damage across the length of the lobby floor which is roughly 5,500 sq. feet. Top shield and burnish surface with 50 metal diamond grind, up to 800 grit. Apply enrich and seal. If darkening occurs, feather and blend as necessary to match existing as closely as possible. CAPABILITY STATEMENT The following requests are designed to apprise the GSA, Region 8- Colorado Service Center, of any prospective construction contractors' project execution capabilities. Please provide your response to the following. The submission is limited to 5 pages. 1) Offeror's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2) Offeror's interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued. 3) Offeror's capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity and comparable work performed within the past 5 years - Describe your self-performed effort, brief description of the project, customer name, timeliness of performance, customer satisfaction, and dollar value of the project) - provide at least 3 examples. 4) Offeror's type of business and Business Size (Small Business, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned and/or Small Business, 8(a), large business) 5) Offeror's Joint Venture or Teaming Arrangement information if applicable - existing and potential The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statements regarding the company's ability to demonstrate existing-or-developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified herein. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the Capabilities statement. Submission of Capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the GSA in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. After completing its analysis, the Government will determine whether to limit competition among 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran, HubZone, or all Small Business firms or proceed with full and open competition as Other Than Small Business. Offers that do not meet all requirements or submit within the allotted time will not be considered.
