- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation VA251-14-Q-0624 is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 238390 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This is a small business set aside. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the contracting officer. Requested Items: Herman Miller furniture systems have been purchased for Audiology spaces as well as smaller items that were left out of a previous purchasing packet. The installation crew must meet the Herman Miller truck on site at 5838 Metro Way SW, Wyoming MI 45919 to offload and inventory/receive the product. Crew must be able to accurately read the furniture plans to place all product in the correct locations throughout this nearly 100,000 sq. foot facility. Product must be assembled by an authorized Herman Miller dealer or all warrantees that come with the furniture are void. Several different systems and/or components will be incorporated throughout the facility: Passages, Co-Struc, Action Office and Ethospace. It is the installer's responsibility to read the furniture layout plan and lay out all spaces according to the specification. VA interior designers must be notified of any site conditions, manufacturing issues or inventory shortages as they occur. A punch list will be compiled at the end of the job. Installer will return to correct all items on the punch list at no additional cost to the VA. Installer shall remove all packaging material and trash to be disposed of at their expense. The Wyoming Healthcare center will be returned to the condition found or better at the end of the job.
