Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR Part 13.501(a)). The proposed source is Sirona USA, 4835 Sirona Drive, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28273. The requirement includes dental prosthesis computer-aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) units. The units shall be compatible with the CEREC/Sirona CAD/CAM systems currently installed at Naval Postgraduate Dental School (NPDS) and Naval Hospital Jacksonville. The units shall be capable of transmitting data to existing Sirona dental prosthesis milling units. The units shall be capable of capturing digital impressions by streaming. The unit shall scan the teeth optically without the requirement of physical impression molding. The unit shall have the option to run on line power or battery power and shall be mobile to move about the facility. The system shall include a tabletop laboratory acquisition unit that is capable of scanning dental models. The electrical requirements are 110V, 60Hz, single phase. The requirement includes one dental prosthesis milling unit for NPDS. The milling unit shall be able to accept data from the acquisition units. The milling unit shall be capable of handling block sizes up to 85mm. The milling unit shall be capable of milling ceramics, polymers, zirconium oxide, and metal. The milling unit shall be capable of producing inlays, onlays, crowns, veneers, bridges, abutments, and surgical guides. The requirement for the Naval Postgraduate Dental School includes a teaching module with five (5) user licenses. The teaching module shall allow the end user to quantitatively assess elements of crown preparation. On-site training shall also be provided for Naval Postgraduate Dental School. The requirement includes the trade-in of a CEREC RedCam and an inEos Blue The equipment shall be compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to market and deliver medical products for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The claims made for the product shall comply with the regulations of the FDA with respect to products for marketing and delivery of a medical product for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The equipment shall be installed in compliance with OSHA requirements. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM.
