Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT - 22 August 2014 - The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to negotiate solely as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, with Arizona Instruments LLC, 3375 N Delaware St, Chandler, AZ 85225-1134. The contractor shall provide calibration and repair services for Jerome 431 and Jerome J405 gold film mercury vapor analyzers. The parts and processes associated with maintaining the instruments are proprietary to the manufacturer. The following services are in support of the United States Army Public Health Command (USAPHC) Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. CLIN 0001: Equipment Calibration and Repair The contractor shall provide annual calibrations services and instrument service for all the equipment specified in Attachment 1, Equipment List. The contractor shall perform all maintenance and repairs necessary to keep the units described in the equipment list in original equipment manufacturers operating condition. Following all services performed under this contract, service documentation shall be provided by the contractor to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to detail the calibration/repair within one business day of return shipment of the equipment. CLIN 0002: Accounting for Contract Services Cost for Providing Accounting for Contract Services - ACC-APG 5152.237-4900, Accounting for Contract Services Requirement, has been added to the statement of work, and the contractor is required to provide data on contractor manpower (including subcontractor manpower) for performance of this contract. The cost, if any, for providing this data shall be entered into the space provided at this CLIN. If no direct cost is associated with providing the data, enter quote mark No Cost quote mark. Instructions, including the Contractor and Subcontractor User Guides, are available at the CMRA (Contractor Manpower Reporting Application) website at: https://cmra.army.mil. For further assistance, email the CMRA Help Desk at contractormanpower@hqda.army.mil. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price, sole source contract to Arizona Instruments for a base and two option years. In accordance with FAR 17.2, the Government reserves the right to include option years within the contract. The option years will be executed at the Contracting Officer's discretion. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219 and the size standard is $20.5 million. All responses received within eleven (11) days after the publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
