- The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, intends to award a sole source contract to American Business Company, for Outreach and Admissions Services in the State of Indiana. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical and training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantage youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. The anticipated period of performance is a 12 month base period; with two option periods, the first option of three months and the second option period of six months. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal. Therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 12:00pm Eastern Time by September 8, 20145, that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government, via e-mail transmittal to lawrence.tanyka@dol.gov. The reference "Indiana OA" must be shown on the subject line. The determination not to compete the contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
