Description
This Sources Sought will be used for market research purposes only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy. The Government is seeking responses from businesses capable of providing software license renewal or an alternate software program with equivalent specifications. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Seeking companies able to provide a software bundle with the specifications and capabilities of ESI North America's Full Frequency and Aerospace Feature Bundle. Specifications of ESI's Full Frequency and Aerospace Feature Bundle includes, but is not limited to: High-frequency analysis of complex built-up systems (such as aircraft, ships, automotive vehicles) using TSEA, for point-shock loadings. The software method must use an exact solution to the transient SEA equations (accomplished via Stieltjes integrals), and is applicable to any system for which an SEA model exists (such as the Space Station, aircraft fuselages, etc.). The intended research effort includes (but not exclusively) the following: Extend the TSEA method to blast-load analysis. Validate the TSEA method using well-known benchmark systems (military and/or commercial). Extend the modern hybrid SEA/FE method, which currently possesses full-frequency but only non-transient capabilities, to incorporate the transient capabilities of TSEA. Validate the hybrid TSEA/FE method against benchmarks. Develop statistical measures (mean, standard deviation) for TSEA and for hybrid TSEA/FE. RESPONSES MUST INCLUDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUGGESTED SOFTWARE. Responses due on August 28, 2014.
