- Description
- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS This is a notice of intent made in full compliance with FAR 8.402 (f) to add open market items to a General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) task order. The General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) has awarded a task order for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Iraq for open market items in conjunction with Professional Engineering Services (PES)received in response to GSA's Request for Quotation (RFQ) number ID05120066 to meet the needs of the FMS client. The requirement has been adequately solicited and competed under FAR Part 8.405-2. The task order was competitively awarded 13 Aug 12 to BAE Systems and included a base year and four option years. After award, it became eminant that in order to peform the Construction Program Management Services at Balad Air Base, Iraq, several ancillary items and services would need to be purchased as part of the task order. These include: peripheral telecommunications and telephone equipment and services, DBA/BTA insurance, and VISA processing. The total dollar value for the above services/items shall not exceed $75,000.00. All open market items received a minimum of three quotes and have been determined to be fair and reasonable or are in compliance with the DCAA guidelines for cost-reimbursable purchases. The open market items are required to successfully perform this task order. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. GSA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by an interested party responding to this notice. This notice in no way obligates the Government to modify the existing GSA Task Order or award a Purchase Order for the Open Market Items.
