Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue sole source firm fixed priced commercial item purchase order to ESI Companies Inc., 1861 Vanderhorn Drive, Memphis, TN 38104. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, supplies, tools, equipment, materials, quality control, clean-up, and disposal to furnish and install a Cornell Series 4000 Alarm Panel (45 points) and 2-12 position 24 bolt relay boards to accommodate the newly added 22 alarm points. The VA Medical Center will furnish and install the back boxes and cable needed for this installation. ESI will terminate and test with the facility after the connections have been made. The services will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38104. Due to issues relating to compatibility with the current nurse alert system already installed in the VA Medical Center Memphis, TN, ESI Companies Inc. is the only vendor capable of integrating and installing the electronic monitoring systems that will protect the patient environment. ESI is also the only company that has the matching panel that was installed by the contractor at installation. The second phase of the Mental health security was not complete, and the identical panel is needed to complete the installation of the second phase. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 238210 and has a size standard of $14M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 12:00 EST, March 5, 2014 to: Victoria.Rone3@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
