- Description
- Critical and Required Capabilities and Specifications: The instrument must comply with the following critical and required capabilities and specifications: - The system must use impedance based real time dynamic monitoring of beating cardiomyocytes and have the ability to capture data acquisitions in 12.9 ms intervals. - Be able to use 96 well plates. - 96- well plates must: ohave all components being biocompatible and made from consumable sterile tissue culture treated plastic; ocontain electrodes composed of gold or gold plated and cover at least 70% - 80% of the well surface area; odisplay a well design having the capacity to image cells using standard laboratory microscope. - In addition to monitoring cardiomyocytes, the system must also be able to be used for other research applications including cell adhesion, cytotoxicity, and cell proliferation assays. - Well to well precision should be excellent with variability of less than 10%. - The system must be able to be placed into a standard tissue culture incubator and specifically designed to withstand the humidity and temperature of the incubator. - Instrument and consumables must be manufactured under ISO 9001. - Data analysis software package should be an integrated part of the instrument control software and include algorithms for slope, EC50, IC50, time dependent EC 50, maximum cell index, minimum cell index, area under the curve, and cell index doubling time. - They system should not require any calibration to maintain proper function. - They system should be capable of interfacing with robotic for automated higher throughput.
