Description

The VA intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price contract to provide one (1) Ilumina MiSeq System with BaseSpace onsite genomics computing and srchival storage system or an equal system in accordance with the following specifications. System Workflow "Short Hands-on-Time: 8 hours total turnaround time from purified DNA until direct variant reporting with less than 30 minutes total hands-on time "Simple Integrated Workflow: Single instrument to perform clonal amplification, sequencing and data analysis (which includes basecalling, alignment, variant calling, and reporting). Doesn't require any ancillary amplification or computing systems. Doesn't require emulsion PCR. "Prepare > 147,000 amplicons in a single day (96 samples x 16536 amplicons per sample = 147,456 amplicons total) "Call variants in >147,000 amplicons in two days "22-25 million reads per run (clusters passing filter) "13.2-15 GB data per 2 x 300 bp run "Sequencing runs can be completed in 4 hours for a 1 x 36 bp single read run up to 65 hours for a 2 x 300 bp paired-read sequencing run Capabilities "Paired-end capability: fully automated, on-instrument paired-end sequencing with 2 x 300 bp read lengths "High Output: Up to 15 Gb high-quality data passing ( >90% of bases with Q scores >30 (2 x 25bp) or >70% of bases with Q scores >30 (2 x 300bp) "Flow cell options include original micro or nano flow cells Applications ">25 million reads per single-end run to enable small RNA sequencing ">15 GB output which allows multiplexed sequencing of viral and bacterial genomes in a single run ">4045 peer-reviewed publications using TruSeq (reversible terminator-based sequencing by synthesis chemistry) "Supports custom panels for FFPE "Supports whole-genome and targeted resequencing, De novo and Mate-pair sequencing, Small RNA sequencing, ribosome profiling, DNA imprinting and allele specific expression, plus additional applications The intention of this notice is to seek sources, especially small business sources, that could potentially provide these items. Firms with interest and capability to respond to this requirement should develop short (1-3 pages) narrative capability statement and past performance history of similar requirements including relevant experience and other information indicating and evidencing capability to successfully meet the aforementioned requirements. Responding to this not does not guarantee any opportunity for the contract, and is only used for VA planning purposes.
