Description

The VA intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price contract to provide one (1) Thermo Electron Q Exactive Mass Spectrometer System or an equal system in accordance with the following specifications. "AP/MALDI PDF+ HR ion or equivalent source "U3000 Rapid Separation Liquid Chromatograph Nano for Easy-Spray Dionex UltiMate 3000 Binary RSLC nano system or equivalent "A quadrupole mass filter in front of the curved ion trap (C-Trap) for precursor ion selection and MS/MS and SIM scan modes or equivalent "A high sensitivity S-lens ion source for enhanced FT transient processing. "Spectra multiplexing, where multiple preselected precursors are collected in the C-Trap for simultaneous high resolution detection in the Orbitrap or equivalent. "Orbitrap-based FT-MS system providing high resolution, high mass accuracy and high sensitivity without compromises or equivalent. "Mass range: 50 < m/z < 4000; Resolution at m/z 200 (scan rate): 17,500 (12 Hz), 35,000 (7 Hz), 70,000 (3 Hz), 140,000 (1.5 Hz) or equivalent. "Mass accuracy (Using defined conditions); < 5 ppm RMS error with external calibration; < 1 ppm RMS error with internal calibration or equivalent. "Quadrupole Isolation: Stepless precursor isolation from 0.4 amu to full mass range or equivalent. "Polarity switching: One full positive/negative cycle in < 1 sec at a resolution setting of 17,500 (@ m/z 200). "Spectra multiplexing: analyzing up to 10 different selected precursors in one orbitrap scan or equivalent. "Top N with predictive AGC: Up to 10 Hz high resolution accurate mass or equivalent. "MS/MS or equivalent. "Additional items: HESI II probe; Chemyx Fusion 100 Syringe pump with full data system control; Switching valve 6-port from Rheodyne - Switching Valve MXT 715-00 or equivalent. The intention of this notice is to seek sources, especially small business sources that could potentially provide these items. Firms with interest and capability to respond to this requirement should develop short (1-3 pages) narrative capability statement and past performance history of similar requirements including relevant experience and other information indicating and evidencing capability to successfully meet the aforementioned requirements. Responding to this not does not guarantee any opportunity for the contract, and is only used for VA planning purposes.
