Description
The following questions and responses are added; Question: In regards to the transfer switches, will the existing service disconnect switches for the transfer switches(that are mounted down on the floor below the transfer switches) be replaced? If yes, do the new transfers switches need to have the disconnects mounted on them or do separate new disconnects need to be mounted back in the electrical room? Response: This is covered in the SOW. Disconnects between generator and ATS boxes are to be removed from the room and may be placed next to, not on, the ATS boxes or may be out by/part of the generator. Question: Is it a requirement for 120 volt electrical outlets mounted inside the generator enclosure that can be used if someone is working around the generator? Convenience 120 Response : VAC outlets required at the generator pad. I would prefer they be accessible from the pad or outside the generator enclosure. If the enclosure/generator comes with it, great, if not, put them on the pad. Question : A 600kw generator is capable of producing 900 amps at 100% load but the generators come standard with a 1000 amp 80% Rated thermal breaker which will trip at 800amps and a 50% load would come out to 400amps. Would the hospital prefer a 100% rated adjustable breaker so they can get 900amps out of a 600kw and the 50% load rating would be 450amps? Response: Yes, if it's allowed by code. Question : It was stated at the site visit that the hospital does not perform load banking and use building load, do you still require the generator to have the load bank quick connect plugs on the generator? Response : Yes, only stated that they haven't been performing load bank testing and are not required to for accreditation purposes, but nonetheless we still want the load bank quick connect plugs on the generator. Question: Paragraph V.B.a of the Solicitation for this project references "Attachment G. Recommended Emergency Generator & Fuel Tank Location." We have been unable to find Attachment G on the posting to the FBO.gov website. Is this attachment forthcoming? Response: Yes, to be attached in FBO.
