Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) intends to award a sole source contract award to Maquet Medical Systems, USA 45 Barbour Pond Drive Wayne, NJ 07470. The product delivery date shall have the product delivered within 30 days post award. This requirement is for the calibration, preventive, and/or corrective maintenance services on the following equipment: MANUFACTURER MODEL Maquet Medical Heart & Lung Machine / CardioHelp / Sprinter Cart (This request is for a brand name product, if interested vendor believes that they can provide this product please submit supporting authorization with your response) Deliver during the VA normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe BLVD, Houston, TX 77030. Maquet Medical Systems USA, is the sole provider and since the software/hardware is proprietary Maquet Medical Systems USA, is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 2 2014, 1:00 p.m. (CST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Thomas.johnson9@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
