Description
17.The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH/NIAID) has a request for a Microwave Processing system from Ted Pella Inc Redding, CA 96049. The proposed brand is the PELCO BioWave Pro Laboratory Microwave System, Model# 36500. This is a brand name or equal solicitation in accordance with FAR 52.211-6. The BioWave Pro consists of the following accessories: 1.Fixation/Decalcification Kit 2.DRF Insert with PTFE Cassette Rack 3.Vapor Trap 4.PELCO SteadyTemp Pro Digital thermoelectric recirculator 5.Mega Cassette Holder Middle Insert 6.Unisette Tissue Casettes 7.PELCO ColdSpot Pro PVC/Glass 8.PELCO EM Pro Vacuum Chamber 9.PELCO Prep-Eze 6-Well Kit 10.PELCO Prep-Eze 12-Well Kit 11.¼' ID Silicone Vacuum Hose 9ft 12.Macrosette Processing/Embedding Casettes This microwave processing system has the following required salient characteristics: 1.Able to be used for both Electron and light microscopy 2.Light Weight 3.Built in Vacuum 4.Variable wattage control 5.Remote access 6.Be used for thick tissue fixation and staining All responsible sources with the capability to provide a microwave processing system with the same or similar characteristics may submit a proposal that will be considered. The Government reserves the right to make a decision whether this requirement is available for competition. All responses shall be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. (EDST) September 8, 2014.
