- Sole Source Justification The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole source contract to the following: Data Security, Inc, 729 Q Street, Lincoln, NE 68508 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1). The intended award will follow policies and procedures set forth in FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The FBI requires a conveyer type degausser that is listed on the NSA Evaluated Products List (EPL) and that meets the requirements specified in the attached justification. The FBI intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order on or about September 10, 2014 to Data Security, Inc. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by written response by 10:00 AM EST on September 1, 2014 via email to jana.chidester@ ic.fbi.gov. Reference- LM-1 Conveyer Type Degausser. Capability statements must contain sufficient detail that clearly demonstrate the contractor's capabilities and the ability to comply with above requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
