Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and shall not obligate the Government to award a contract. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources interested and capable of performing the work and obtain their size classification relative to the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code 333314 with a size standard of 500 employees. A.GENERAL INFORMATION Background: The VA Medical Center in the West Los Angeles Greater Healthcare System intends to purchase a Keyence All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope BZ-X700. This machine will be used on several funded and ongoing projects within the VA Medical Center. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide the equipment, installation (if required), training and all other resources required to deliver the requirements stated in this SOW. This contract is for the purchase of a Keyence All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope BZ-X700, or similar piece of equipment which meets the salient features listed below. This is a BRAND NAME OR EQUAL requirement which will be used by the VA Medical Center This is a salient requirement, and is not flexible. The following are the minimum salient characteristics that must be met: Salient Characteristics for Keyence All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope BZ-X700 - Los Angeles, CA It is a microscope with many functions to generate high quality images quickly, no need to have a dark room and easy to operate "Functionality oRoutine microscopy (fluorescence, bright field and phase contrast) o image acquisition and analysis of tissues sections and cultured cells oFast: idea of what their samples look like in less than 2 minutes. "Navigation system: oAllows users to quickly move throughout a sample at high magnification without switching back and forth between high and low objectives. "Confocal-like images: imaging with 3D qualities "Calcium imaging: oHigh-speed video up to 100f/s for calcium imaging including fluorescence with separate excitation and emission wavelength. "Multipoint time lapse: with multiple live cell experiments "Ability to perform special analyzing and tracking video and time lapse movements. "Temperature/CO2 regulation chamber: "Hybrid cell counting and image analysis: oHybrid cell counting (stained or unstained) oMeasurement of time-serious brightness oIntensity and area oScatter plot for colocalization measurements o Extract overlaid colors individually and count them simultaneously; oBe able to apply quantification specifications up 400 images at one time. "Image montage: oAbility to stitch together up to 1200 images oAbility to create a fully-focused and wide-view image, without trace of stitch lines. "Compact/built-in darkroom: Must not require setup in a specialized dark room "Large fully motorized XYZ. "Service contract to be included in purchase price REQUESTED INFORMATION: STATEMENT OF CAPABILITY: Submit a brief description (five [5] pages or less) that shows your company can provide the required services. One additional page may be included explaining experience in performing these services to the VA, other government agencies, or for private facilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and any applicable business socio-economic category (i.e. small business, SDVOSB, VOSB, SB, etc), DUNS number, address, and any additional information felt to be pertinent. All vendors must be registered in SAM https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ prior to contract award. Responses to this notice should be electronically mailed in PDF format or word format to Cheryl.Homison@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted.
