- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The intent of this Special notice is for informational purposes only. The VA Network Contracting Office 22 and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, (VAGLAHS) intends to award a sole source procurement to Roche Diagnostics, Corporation pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will satisfy Agency Requirements. The award is to perform annual service maintenance on LightCycler 480 II, 96 Wells, and Roche LightCycler Desktop, Serial Numbers 26961 and 1405331, consecutively. The service shall include all necessary, parts, personnel, labor and materials necessary to perform the service. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order for the supplies on or about September 04, 2014 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The award shall be for a Base year (12 months) and four (4), one-year option periods, unilateral to the government. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). Interested parties may identify their interest and state their capability by responding to this posting. The government will consider all responses received by 12pm local time, September 02, 2014. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses shall be submitted via email at guiljohn.alcantara@va.gov. Telephone request will not be accepted.
