- RFP and Appendices 1 - 12 The Smithsonian Institution is seeking proposals for the management and operation of the food service facilities located at the Donald W. Reynolds Center (DWRC), the National Museum of African American History & Culture (NMAAHC), National Museum of American History (NMAH), National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI), National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), Staff Café at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) and Smithsonian Institution Building (The Castle) located in Washington DC. Additional locations which may be added by the Smithsonian during the contract term include, but are not limited to, a new food service operation at the National Museum of the American Indian (New York). Collectively these locations are referred to herein as the "Facilities" (each, a "Facility"). The successful offeror will commence operations on October 1, 2015. This Request for Proposals was originally issued on January 13, 2014 as Solicitation #M-14000052-0000 and is now being re-issued with the National Museum of African American History & Culture incorporated into the scope of work. Changes to the originally issued RFP have been redlined for ease of reference. In addition, Amendment No. 2 to the originally issued RFP (with questions and answers) has been updated and is attached to this RFP, also redlined for ease of reference. If your company is interested in working with the Smithsonian on this program, please review the attached RFP documents and submit your qualifications in accordance with the attached instructions and conditions. This is not a solicitation for a federal contract and is therefore not governed by federal procurement procedures. DUE DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS To be considered, you must submit two (2) originals and two (2) thumb drives of your proposal as detailed in the attached RFP via hand delivery or overnight courier to the address below by no later than 2:00 P.M. Eastern time, on November 3, 2014. Proposals must be received by this deadline in order to be considered.
