- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following action is to be competed by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) to buy brand name medical equipment parts without competition as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1. This announcement constitutes the solicitation by USAMRAA, Fort Detrick, MD as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and offers must be submitted in writing (oral offers will not be accepted). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. DESCRIPTION: The government will purchase the thermometer soft cases manufactured by WelchAllyn for the SureTemp Plus 692 on a brand name only basis (a redacted Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition has been attached to this RFQ. Follow the Additional Documentation link below to locate this document). The manufacturer part number and required quantity are detailed below (this information is also provided in an MS Excel spreadsheet attached to this RFQ. Follow the Additional Documentation link below to locate this spreadsheet). This requirement is set aside for small business concerns. See below for a summary of the required item and quantity: THERMOMETER SOFT CASE ; manufacturer part#: 406682; qty: 73 These items are needed at a USAMMA depot at Hill AirForce Base, UT which repairs and replaces Medical equipment used by deployed forces. With very few exceptions, medical equipment repair parts are available only from the manufacturer of the equipment or from a firm that has been licensed by the manufacturer to produce authorized parts. Delivery is FOB Destination. Delivery will be made to Hill AFB, UT 84056 no later than 15 days after date of contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112 and the size standard is 500 employees. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments from the following website: https://www.fbo.gov/. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Quotes will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price technically acceptable and any resulting contract will be issued as an open market Firm Fixed Price Award.
