The goal is to provide standardization throughout the clinics and the CBOC's. The addition of two more eye lanes would provide standardized equipment as well as standard operating procedures for all eye clinic staff. 5.Demonstration that the Contractor's Unique Qualifications or Nature of the Acquisition Requires the Use of the Authority Cited Above (applicability of authority): The Cheyenne VAMC is requesting two Eye Lane systems to provide more availability in our scheduling in the Cheyenne VAMC Eye Clinic and expand our services to the Greeley MSOC. The Cheyenne VAMC currently has one Eye Lane machine on station. Accordingly, two additional eye lane systems would provide standardized equipment in all locations and would provide standardized operating procedures for all eye clinic staff. 6.Description of Efforts Made to ensure that offers are solicited from as many potential sources as deemed practicable: Product must interface with existing eye lane equipment. 7.Determination by the Contracting Officer that the Anticipated Cost to the Government will be Fair and Reasonable 8.Description of the Market Research Conducted and the Results, or a Statement of the Reasons Market Research Was Not Conducted: Market research was performed in finding these Eye Lane systems.
