- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Acquisitions Service Area, Southern Region, AAQ-510 ATL, College Park, Georgia has a requirement for the demolition and replacement of two Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units at the ASR9 facility in Memphis, TN. Performance time for the entire project is 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 “ Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors “ Size Standards in Millions “ $14 Million Site Visit: A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2014, 2014 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), ASR9 Facility, 2494 E. Shelby Drive Memphis, TN 38116. Please RSVP to Bryan Pennamon at bryan.pennamon@faa.gov (PH: (404) 389-8563) and Karina Espinosa at karina.espinosa@faa.gov at least three (3) calendar days in advance to participate in the Site Visit. SITE VISIT ATTENDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All Requests for Information (RFI) must be emailed to the Contracting Officer (karina.espinosa@faa.gov) no later than Friday, September 12, 2014, at 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) Potential offerors should note that the FAA reserves the right to communicate with one or more offerors at any time during the SIR process. To be considered for award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (website: www.sam.gov). Mailed proposal must be sealed and labeled as follows: RFP # DTFAEN-14-R-00108. Emailed proposals must put the RFP # in the Subject line. Proposals are due no later than Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 3:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). If all requested information/documents are not furnished, the vendor's response may be determined non-responsive and be excluded from evaluation. This RFP is not to be construed as a contract or a commitment of any kind. The Government shall not be liable for payment of any costs attributed to the preparation and submission of requested proposal documentation. Magnitude of Construction Projects: The estimated construction price if between $100,000 and $250,000. NOTICE for informational purposes for Minority, Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
