- This is a sources sought notice issued in accordance with FAR Part 5, FAR Part 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Icebreaker Buoy Construction Tender Product Line, is seeking qualified sources that can overhaul four (4) WLB Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs, PN 110252110. The Controllable Pitch Propellers Hubs are used to support the WLB-225 Class Buoy Tenders. All parts used in the repairs must be genuine Rolls-Royce parts- no substitutions, or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is the Government's belief that only Rolls-Royce, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or their authorized dealers/distributors can provide these parts and ensure exact form, fit, and function, with existing equipment. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM and therefore is not available for release. However, sources capable of providing these exact services may submit their capabilities to Mia.R.Mayers@uscg.mil by September 3, 10:00am, EST. Information submitted must include (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the capability of the Offeror; (2) acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (3) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited.
