- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NIH-OD3463333 is a Request for Quotes for a Clinical Research Specialist. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-76. The National Institutes of Nursing Research needs a clinical research specialist with extensive experience in clinical research and laboratory activities to effectively implement Symptom's Biology Unit active protocol, manage the biologic samples collected and conduct specialized laboratory experiments. The individual must have extensive experience and knowledge in neuroscience possessing specialized laboratory skills to fulfill this role. Tasks include: •1. Process laboratory samples collected from actively recruiting protocols of the SBU of the NINR. •2. Conducts inventories of biologic samples, SBU laboratory equipment, and supplies and work closely with PI in communicating these inventories to SBU staff •3. Performs genomic microarray, PCR and proteomic ELISA, Western Blots experiments from samples collected from SBU protocols •4. Conducts specialized laboratory experiments to expand the investigations of the SBU •5. Develops cell based functional activities to validate findings obtained from the clinical data •6. Collaborates with the research team in protocol development and interpretation data •7. Presents findings in professional venues either in abstract form,orally or as a manuscript •8. Participates in staff meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings •9. Ensures confidentiality and integrity of data are seriously maintained •10. Maintains SPSS files of all data collected from SBU protocols •11. Prepares purchase requests for needed supplies and patient reimbursements Qualification factors include: Technical factor( Adequately and feasibility to establish and maintain Clinical Research projects Personnel Qualification (knowledge of conducting active lab research of clinical samples, design and evaluate experiments, develop innovative ideas that promote current research, prepare, manuscripts and bring expertise to new research program and teach techniques to other staff and trainees) Past Performance include prior translation research experience and PHD and research experience in the neuroscience field.
