- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD) intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with Masterite, div of DCX-CHOL, Enterprises, Inc., with a Size Standard of 500 employees., in accordance with the statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implanted by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Establishing an alternative source would result in not only duplication of costs to the Government, which is not expected to be recovered through competition, but would also require unacceptable delays in meeting current requirements. This procurement is "Proprietary" to DCX-CHOL, Inc. The Wire Wrap Backplane of the Missile Round Cable Test Set (MRCTS) that interconnects the electrical/electronic system consisting of the electrical wiring and modular Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) that tests ambilical cables that connects Vertical Launching System (VLS) canister to the launch sequencer. This acquisition is being procured under NAICS Code 335999. ***This notice IS NOT a request for competitive proposals*** Inspection and Acceptance will be at Origin (PHDNSWC). Contract award is expected on a FOB Origin basis. This will be a Non- Commercial Acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 13. The proposed contract action is for in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with " Only One Source " under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
