Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology, Service Delivery and Engineering, Veterans Integrated Service Networks 1 requires external paging services for all of VA Maine (ME) Healthcare System and internal paging services (e.g. signal coverage that penetrates walls of campus buildings), for approximately 500 users, for the Togus VA main campus located in Augusta, ME from Critical Alert Systems, LLC, 100 Larrabee Road, Suite 150, Westbrook, ME 04092-4796. The paging services required include a messaging system to send alphanumeric pages to groups. External paging services, used throughout VA Maine, provide coverage for all of the state of Maine. Internal paging service, used only on the Togus VA main campus, is signal coverage that penetrates the walls of the main campus buildings. VA Maine, at the Togus VA main campus, also requires three pager display signs that show urgent paging alerts located in key places at the Togus VA main campus. The intended sole source award will be a firm-fixed price contract with Critical Alert Systems, LLC, 100 Larrabee Road, Suite 150, Westbrook, ME 04092-4796. The Statutory Authority for this effort falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 517210. The anticipated award date is October 01, 2014. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This notification shall close on September 30, 2014.
