Description
STATEMENT OF WORK FOR NAVAL SCHOOL EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL AIED EXPLOSIVE TRANSPORT BOX 1. SCOPE. 1.1 This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the work requirements for one explosive Transport box for AIED 1500 chevy pick up, to transport different explosive compatibility on Eglin ranges 2.APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Vender Quotes 3.REQUIREMENTS. 3.1 General.The Explosive transportation Box will be constructed in accordance with SLP 22 adopted by DOT 49 CFR 177.835(g) (3) (ii). Its specific requirement, design, and manufacturing specification include the following features: 3.1.1Dimension: 6 long x 4 wide x 43 high 3.1.2IME COMPARTMENTS: Two IME located at upper front of box, one on each side of box. Each compartment is 18 high x 24 wide, lined with laminate constructed of not less than 1/8 (11 gauge) steel sheeting continuously welded at all joints, sheet rock, then plywood. The laminated materials must be securely bounded together by water proof adhesive or equally effective means. The steel at the joints of lamination must be secured by continuous fillet welds. Latches, hinges and other structural components must be made of steel. Latches, hinges and other structural components must be attached to the steel in the wall laminate. 3.1.3Each SLP 22 compartment must have a snug fitting lid or door and be equipped with a means to provide for locking. The exterior of the SLP 22 compartment must be weather resistant. The interior surface of the lid or door of an SLP 22 container or compartment must be marked in Letters and numbers at least inch high as follows: BARRIER LAMINATE MEETS SLP #22 . Screw holes plugged. 3.1.4SIDE DOORS: One door on each side to access front IME compartment. With a dividing wall equally in the middle from each door. Same lining as the compartment Single compression lock on each door with protective hood cover. 3 hinges per door. Do no weld hinge bolts to prevent unauthorized access. Hardware can be galvanized or stainless steel. Weather strip and stepped door to prevent leaks. Aluminum checker plate on side walls to protect from doors. 3.1.5REAR COMPARTMENT: 3/8 Plywood lining on walls and ceiling (or ply metal). Screw holes plugged. ( no sheet rock or steel needed). 3.1.6REAR DOORS: Barn doors with one lock per door. 3.1.7LIGHTS: No lights 3.1.8SIDE TOOL BOXES: No Tool Boxes 3.1.9FIRE EXTINGUISHER: Brackets for 2 10 lb extinguisher one on each side of box. 3.1.10 MOUNTING POINTS: Mounting points to secure box to pickup bed NOTES: All interior screw holes plugged. No sparking meta 4. DELIVERABLES 4.1 Explosive Transportation Box with accessories to be delivered to NAVSCOLEOD Supply department, BLD 8861 Range Road, Niceville FL 3257 5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 6.
