Description

The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Groton Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of provide all management, labor, transportation, materials, equipment and herding dog(s) to provide Canada geese deterrent services for the Naval Station Newport, RI in accordance with the Performance Based Work Statement. This is a Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 19.5 Set-Asides for Small Business, supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This synopsis shall be posted on both the FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00189-14-T-G249. The NAICS code is 561710 - Exterminating and Pest Control Services, and the small business standard is $11.0 Mil. This is a 100% set aside for small business action. Questions regarding technical or contractual issues must be addressed to the contract specialist via e-mail ONLY. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the vendor responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.arnet.gov/far and www.acq.osd.mil. Lack of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) will render the vendor ineligible for award. The government anticipates release of the RFq during the week of 01 September 2014 and 05 September 2014.
