Description

The Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory's (AOML) located in Miami, FL is awarding a purchase order (PO) for the following products from Teledyne Benthos located in North Falmouth, MA. Product Code Quantity C-204-45 8.00 B-204-183 16.00 B-204-48-1 16.00 C-204-49-3 8.00 C-204-99 8.00 C-204-44 8.00 Teledyne Benthos is the only known source that can provide the needed Glass instrument housing supplies that are required in order for AOML to successfully complete their field projects. The Government is not aware of any other vendor that can provide these specialized supplies that also meet the Government's intended use. To the best of the Government's knowledge there are no other vendors available who can meet the requirements needed in order to compete for this purchase. A sources sought notice was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov/ on 08/26/2014 under Solicitation # NRMAD000-14-01720. The posting closed at 3:00PM ET on 09/04/2014 with no responses. It is the Government's intent to award a purchase order to Teledyne Benthos upon the closing of this notice.
