Description
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD), Contracting Department intends to award a sole source Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract to Boeing Company, Directed Energy Systems, 4411 The 25 Way NE, Suite 350, Albuquerque, NM 87109-5858. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as cited in Far 6.302-1 due to data and software owned by the company. Non-commercial procedures will be used. The contract will support the Adaptive Optics Center of Excellence (AOCoE) for National Security a research center located at NPS. AOCoE conducts research in adaptive optics related to national security issues. The AOCoE require the completion of a High Energy Laser Beam Control Test Bed (HBCT) and to perform research on High Energy Laser (HEL) beam control for future Navy HEL weapon systems. Boeing maintains the specific propriety data and software required to complete this effort. The applicable NAICS code is 541330, business size: $14.0. Service is expected to begin on 25 September 2014 through 24 March 2015. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract will be based upon the responses and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
