Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract award to Carestream Health, 150 Verona St., Rochester, NY 14608. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month period beginning 10/01/2014 and ending 09/30/2015 and include four (4) additional one (1) year option periods. This requirement is for the full service and preventative maintenance of: Carestream Directview CR 850 systems (ID# 36427, Site# 41930427) & (ID# 36454, Site# 41859767) to include digital detectors and x-ray tubes. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, Ky. Carestream Health is the manufacturer and only authorized Carestream Health Technicians are allowed to perform this service. Carestream Health is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 15, 2014, 12:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to dustin.epperson@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
