- The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a qualified instructor for the provision of Vocational Training courses for the inmate population located at the Federal Correctional Complex in Beaumont, Texas. The successful contract shall provide classroom instruction for Business Education, Industrial Sewing, Culinary Arts, Microcomputer Applications, Advanced Microcomputer Applications, Basic Diesel Engine Repair, Desktop Publishing, HVAC, Building Trades, Major Appliance Repair, Advanced HVAC, Commercial Driver's License, and Welding. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year for each of the vocational training courses are as follows: Business Education classes is 240 sessions per year; Industrial Sewing classes is 240 sessions per year; Culinary Arts classes is 480 sessions per year; Microcomputer Applications classes is 960 per year; Advanced Microcomputer Applications classes is 720 sessions per year; Basic Diesel Engine Repair classes is 480 sessions per year; Desktop Publishing classes is 240 sessions per year; HVAC classes is 480 sessions per year; Advanced HVAC classes is 240 sessions per year; Building Trades classes is 480 sessions per year; Major Appliance Repair is 480 sessions per year; Welding classes is 240 sessions per year; and Commercial Driver's License classes is 480 sessions per year. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base year with four (4) possible option years for renewal. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price and other factors only. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding an indefinite-delivery requirements type contract, with firm fixed unit pricing. The solicitation will be available on or about September 22, 2014, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All Contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 22, 2014. The solicitation is unrestricted. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
