Description
The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) intends to negotiate and award under the Commercial Items (Part 12) a purchase order for an Aircraft Engine Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) Program for four (4) CFM International CFM56-3C1 high-bypass turbofan aircraft engines installed on two (2) Boeing 737-400 aircraft, with MTU Maintenance Canada, Ltd. (MTU), 6020 Russ Baker Way, Richmond BC. The required support will include coverage of parts, labor and transportation for scheduled major periodic inspections and testing, replacement of time expired Life Limited Parts; repair or replacement of Unserviceable Parts; performance of modifications in accordance with Current Service Bulletin Baseline; engine off-wing technical support including engineering support; and engine conditioning monitoring. Currently these services are being provided under MTU's Power-by-the-Hour Program. The period of performance will be from October 1, 2014 - September 30, 2015. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested and capable sources should respond to the POC, providing your capabilities and a brief synopsis of your ability to meet the support required not later than 12:00 pm (noon) ET, September 15, 2014.
