Description

AMMENDMENT 1 - amendment refers to page 6, paragraph 6, VA San Diego Healthcare System, Biweekly Requirements, subparagraph 3. Currently reads: "Treat all fixture drains (approximately 50) with Enzyme 80 (blend of drain bacteria) or its equivalent; manufacturer recommendations are to be followed." Amended to: "Treat all 50 fixture drains (30 fixtures at Canteen Kitchen, Building 1, 1st floor and 20 fixtures at Dietetic Kitchen, Building 1, Basement) with Enzyme 80 (blend of drain bacteria) or its equivalent; manufacturer recommendations are to be followed." AMMENDMENT 2 - addition of a third requirement to page 6, paragraph 6, VA San Diego Healthcare System, Monthly Requirements. It is to read as follows: "Fill the 55 gallon drum with enzyme 80 or its equivalent. The 55 gallon drum is located at the Dietetic Kitchen, Building 1." AMMENDMENT 3 - amendment refers to page 6, paragraph 6, VA Aspire Center Individual Requirements, Biweekly Requirements, subparagraph 3. Currently reads: "Treat all fixture drains (approximately 30) with Enzyme 80 (blend of drain bacteria) or its equivalent; manufacturer recommendations are to be followed." Amended to: "Treat all fixture drains (approximately 10 located at the main kitchen area) with Enzyme 80 (blend of drain bacteria) or its equivalent; manufacturer recommendations are to be followed" VENDOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1.Will a payment and performance bond be required for the bid proposal or will a letter of bond elegibility from our bonding company be sufficient to submit with the offer? No bond is required for the execution of this service and offeror is not required to submit a Letter of bond eligibility with their offer. 2.Please verify quantities of all the drains requested to be included in the solicitation from each location. There are 50 drain fixtures total at VA San Diego Healthcare System; 30 fixtures at Canteen Kitchen, Building 1, 1st floor; and 20 fixtures at Dietetic Kitchen, Building 1. There are 10 drain fixtures located at the main kitchen area at the VA Aspire Center. 3.Please clarify if the patient treatment rooms are to be included. Patient treatment rooms are not part of this requirement. 4.Please clarify if the service includes the use of a 55 gallon drum to pump enzyme to the grease trap interceptor. Maintain enzyme level up to the 55 gallon on monthly basis. Yes, this requirement was added to the solicitation. Please refer to Amendment 2 above.
