- LOCATION: Aerospace Corporation, Building A1, Titan Room The Space Based Space Surveillance (SBSS) Program Office will be holding a SBSS Follow-On (SBSS FO) Industry Day on the 30 th of September, 2014 for interested offerors. This industry day is intended to provide potential SBSS FO prime contractors with information and status about operational demonstration projects currently ongoing in the space-based space surveillance realm as well as future SBSS FO plans and near term activities. Registration is required for attendance to industry day and is limited to five (5) members from each potential prime contractor. One-on-one discussions will be held with interested parties on the 1 st and 2 nd of October 2014. All documents, including the conference charts, will be deposited in a Bidder's Library that will be established. Please register by sending an email to the following address: SMC.SYAZ.SBSS_FO@us.af.mil. The deadline for registration is 23 September 2014. Questions can also be sent to the above email address or to the primary point of contact listed below. For updated information on the SBSS FO Industry Day, including schedule changes or cancellation notices, visit www.fbo.gov. All schedule changes, cancellation notices and information about the Bidder's Library will also be released from the SMC.SYAZ.SBSS_FO@us.af.mil email address. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All attendees at this industry day must be U.S. citizens and have a SECRET clearance. Security clearance information must be passed to the SMC/SY security office via JPAS, SMO Code SSSD, NLT 23 September 2014. The SBSS FO Program Office also may make available classified material; any attendees wishing to receive the material must provide their classified mailing address, CAGE code, and facility clearance. Wireless, RF, IF, etc., and communications devices (cell/camera phones, two-way pagers, palm pilots, personnel digital assistants, BlackBerrys, devices with Bluetooth technology etc.,) are not allowed. PROGRAMMATICS: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from potential offerors. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman will communicate certain offeror issues, disagreements, and recommendations on this acquisition into the proper channels. The Ombudsman's role is not to diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer but to advocate an offeror's concern on a non-attribution basis. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern when requested by the offeror. The Ombudsman will not participate in the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process for this acquisition.
