- The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Bard Access Systems to provide and deliver a comprehensive system that provides guided vascular access. This machine, with compatible tip location system, is used to assist the practitioner in inserting central venous catheters and arterial lines. This system is the only one to incorporate the ultrasound technology, tip navigation system, and ECG confirmation of tip location in one system. This announcement is for products the VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source IAW FAR Part 6.302-1. The corresponding purchase order will be firm fixed price and F.O.B. Destination. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available; however, any firm that believes it can meet and exceed the requirements above may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 PM (EST) Wednesday September 10th, 2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, GLAC, 115 S. 84th St., Suite 101, Milwaukee WI 53214-1476 or via email to daniel.rasmussen@va.gov. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated; however apart from the responses received from this notice, a determination by the VA not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the VA's discretion. If no responses are received, the GLAC will then proceed with the sole source negotiation with Bard Access Systems.
