- AMENDMENT NOTICE:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is M67004-14-Q-9091_01 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-76. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332439 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit quotes.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2014-09-11 12:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be in the Place of Performance. The USMC - Blount Island Cmd requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001: Cargo container in accordance with the following exact specifications: 20 feet X 6 feet 6 inches X 8 feet 0 inch Steel Open Top ISO 9001:2008 Cargo Container With Ramp Door Period of Performance 22 September 2014 to 21 September 2015 ? 14 gauge corrugated steel sides ? 1 1/8 inches thick marine plywood floors, forklift tested to 16,000 lbs. per 44 square inches ? Tie down steel lashing rings, 4000 lbs. cap. each ? (2) way laden fork lift pockets ? (10) roof bows with heavy duty roof tarp ? Security roof tarp locking cable ? (2) way unladen fork lift pockets ? Heavy duty steel ramp type door Please see attachment for additional measurements/specifications, 14, EA; LI 002: Cargo container in accordance with the following exact specifications: 20 feet X 4 feet 3 inches X 8 feet 0 inch Steel Open Top ISO 9001:2008 Cargo Container Period of Performance 22 September 2014 to 21 September 2015 ? (2) sets of fork lift pockets, laden and unladen ? 14 gauge locking steel double end swing doors ? Heavy duty steel tread plate floor ? Tie down steel lashing rings, 4000 lbs. cap. each ? Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, USMC - Blount Island Cmd intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing quotes, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USMC - Blount Island Cmd is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time quotes.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their quote using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
