Description

Stillwater Dam, Forest City, PA - Construct a maintenance roadway by placing geotextile and atone; remove trees and brush from the roadway edges as directed. The following information is provided in response to a question regarding the solicitation: QUESTION: At the site visit it was talked about starting the roadway from the main road in order for dump trucks to get stone down into the original work area. Is there going to be an addendum sent out or are we bidding to original plans and working off a change order for the additional road. ANSWER: The solicitation will NOT be amended to include roadway installation starting at SR171, nor do we anticipate modifying the contract to make an access road from SR171 a contract requirement. If a construction entrance and roadway will need to be installed to access the work area from SR171, this will be considered a method of construction to be installed at the discretion of the Contractor and should be included in the bid price.
