- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis for the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS). The information provided is to assist the NAIHS in conducting Market Research of Industry to identify potential contractors for this effort. The appplicable NAICS codes is: 561990 - All Other Support Services. This synopsis is for the purpose of identifying potential sources and does not commit the government to make an award and/or issue a solicitation. Consultation and technical assistance services for the Suicide Preventional Community education in support of Indian Health Service (IHS) Methamphetamine Suicide Prevention and Intervention (MSPI) initiatives of regional scope including development of a Shiprock Suicide Prevention Action Plan, development and delivery of authentically-voiced community-based education services for Shiprock and Kayenta Service units, and support for the development of community education capacity for the Shiprock Service Unit Honoring Life Task Force. Contractor shall provide consultation and technical assistance service in support of Community Education about suicide prevention to Shiprock & Kayenta Service Unit communities with an emphasis on educatin for youth. Contractor shall support the development of an effective community education capacity for Honoring LIfe Task Force partners and coordinate prvention efforts among many local members and community partners including: -Retoring and Celebrating Family Wellness Colition - Grassroots organizaiton promoting restoration of Dine' (Navajo) cultural knowledge and practices in the Shiprock Service Unit. -Dine (Navajo) Ba Hozho Colition- Coordination of Services and Prevention activities around Behavioral Health in Shiprock/Hogback/Nenahnezaad/Farmington- includes Div. of Behavioral Svs - San Juan County Partnership. -NewMexico Suicide Prevention Task Force - Developing and coordinating response plans and supporting prevention efforts. -Navajo Nation Suicide Prevention Task Force - Developing and cooordinating response plans & supporting prevention efforts. -Coordination School Health - Native Hope - bringing Native Hope sessions to schools in Kayenta & Shiprock Service Units. -Central Consolidated Schools and Navajo Prep-Natural Helpers training and support. -State of NM Local Behavioral Hlth Collaborative 15 - Coordinating between State of NM and Shiprock region for behavioral health services. Contractor shall also cevelop and implement a suicide prevention plan forDine' College students, staffa nd families including hosting a series of events and activities in an effort to build community and cultural connections to address suicide. Capability statement information sought: -Demonstrated in-house capability and capacity to perform the work, including hands-on skill training, collatoratively develop and deliver capacity building training for grassroots native community; -Develop, implement and evaluate culturally-based training program on Digital Storytelling; -Develop, implemtn and evaluate a focsed suicide prevention program for Dine' College. -Must have experience with delivery of hands-on experiential training and leadership development program based in Navajo culture. -Must have the ability to rach and connect with local Shiprock and Kayenta communities. -Must hsave experience with delivery of traiing and support program and group facilitiation services. -Provide Organizaiton Name, address, Point of Contract Size and Type of Business.
