- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Talladega, intends to issue a solicitation RFQP03131300023 for the requirements of: QUARTERLY SUBSISTENCE - Kosher Items (General Line Groceries Merchant Wholesalers). This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination, delivery dates will begin October 1, 2014 and ends December 31, 2014. Deliveries will be made to Federal Correctional Institution, Talladega, 565 E Renfroe RD, Talladega, Alabama 35160. The contract type is firm -fixed price. The Government reserves the right upon award to make a formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible offer(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered, prices being rated higher than past performance. The solicitation will be made available on or about September 9, 2014 and will be posted to the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to insure of having the most up to date information about this solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is September 16, 2014. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or via Government Purchase Card for awards of $3000.00 or less. Each offer is required per 52.212-3 to complete their representations and certifications via the On line Representation and Certification Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith Based and Community Based Organizations (Aug 2005) are included. Completed offers may be mailed to the attention of Sachiko Reid, Contract Specialist, FCI Talladega, 565 E Renfroe Rd, Talladega, Alabama, 35160. The anticipated award date is September 23, 2014. Contractors who fail to meet delivery schedules or requirements are subject to be removed from consideration of future solicitations for bids. Also, contractors who delivered products deemed not to meet the specifications listed on the solicitation will be evaluated based on prior deliveries and may not be considered during the award phase. Contractors will be given a grace period of two weeks (10 business days) past delivery date. Delivery Requirements: • Items must meet specifications as indicated in the BOP National Specifications. It is the contractor's responsibility to know these specifications. • All items will be inspected by food service staff. Receipt of delivery may be conditional for a period of three days (3 business days) to allow for adequate examination and testing. Items that fail to meet specifications will be refused. • All items are conditionally received and found to be unacceptable must be picked up at the contractor's expense within two weeks (10 business days) of notification of noncompliance. If product is not picked up in two weeks (10 business days) it will be properly disposed.
