FIRE SUPPRESSION - PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT This is a Sources Sought Synopsis; there is no solicitation available. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for market research purposes only to assess whether there are businesses capable of Servicing and Testing High Pressure Carbon Dioxide and Dry/Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems and Testing Thermostats on Deep Fat Fryers to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) Ohio. This market research will be used to help determine if this may be a competitive acquisition, or if a set-aside in any small business program is appropriate (Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned (EDWO). Please review this announcement, including all attachments, in their entirety. Request that respondents complete and return a capabilities statement described below to identify firms who possess the capability to Servicing and Testing High Pressure Carbon Dioxide and Dry/Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems and Testing Thermostats on Deep Fat Fryers to WPAFB OH. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, not will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into any form of contract with any person, firm or other entity that receives or responds to this announcement. ALL INQUIRIES AND/OR RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN NOON, LOCAL TIME, ON 15 SEPTEMBER 2014. This announcement requests businesses in the industry and other interested parties provide feedback, which will help improve WPAFB's understanding of the industry and its ability to satisfy this requirement. WPAFB is particularly interested in the availability and potential size of discounts and savings that may result from the acquisition of Servicing and Testing High Pressure Carbon Dioxide and Dry/Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems and Testing Thermostats on Deep Fat Fryers. CAPABILITIES STATEMENTS: Interested parties shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities and product/service specifications related to this effort. Responses shall include company name, physical and mailing address, and point of contact with his/her phone number. Prospective sources must also indicate their business size status (e.g. large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), women-owned, economically-disadvantaged women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 221118. Prospective Sources should also include their corresponding Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS Number) and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Codes. CAGE codes can be obtained by successfully registering in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Capability statements shall be limited to a maximum of 20 pages and may be sent via e-mail, U.S. Postal Service or commercial carrier to the attention of Regina Robinson with a subject line that reads "FA8601-14-T-0272, Fire Suppression." Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or attachments (i.e.,.exe or.zip files).
