- The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the wireless internet structure. Contractor is required to ensure the service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for 32 buildings associated with educating the military force. The Contractor shall be capable of providing service to all government official users on Fort Dix in identified buildings. The contractor will provide the best possible technical performance consistent with sound engineering and commercial practices. The period of performance is a base year and one option year. This requirement is 100% small business set-aside. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not considered a request for quote. The response date is not the closing date; the closing date will be stated in block #8 of the solicitation. It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates, or changes to the solicitation. Please be advised that hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available; you must download solicitation documents from the FBO. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number, a CAGE code, and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at time of award. SAMS is located at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. A site visit is scheduled for 16 September 2014 at 10:00 AM (EST). Due to restricted access to Fort Dix, contractors attending the site visit are required to submit the following information no later than 15 Sep 2014, 1:00 PM (EST) The name of the attendees, Last Name, Middle Initial, First Name Driver's license number along with which state the driver's license was issued The name of the company being represented SSN (You may submit your SSN via email or present your SSN card upon arrival at the Visitor Center (SSG Terry Hemingway Visitor Center) on Route 68 which provides entrance to the installation Further, at arrival to Fort Dix, each person MUST have a valid state or federal issued photo ID with them to gain access. Those attempting to access Fort Dix that have not provided the information as stated above by the required date and time may not be allowed entry and will require authorization to enter via Joint Base MDL welcome centers. **Email information to Diana Harris at diana.v.harris.civ@mail.mil.
