- Amendment No. 1 to 10PME-14-0016-Change in Scope of Work and minor Change in RFQ. GSA Responses to Questions for Fire Safety Surveys Amendment one addresses a reduction in the Scope of Work, as well as a minor correction in the RFQ. The documents are attached. In addition, Response to Questions are attached. The original requirements of the notice are as follows: The Contractor shall furnish the services of qualified Fire Protection Engineers(s) to provide on-site fire safety surveys for the purpose of identifying fire safety hazards and providing recommendations for the correction of these hazards. The buildings to include location and square feet are located in the Attached RFQ. The Contractor shall provide on-site fire safety surveys, consisting of high quality professional and technical analysis and advice consistent with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, International Building Code (IBC) and General Services Administration (GSA) fire Protection Engineering program requirements, Public Building Service (PBS) P100. Exit requirements shall meet NFPA 101 requirements which shall override the exit requirements for IBC. Fire safety surveys may be required in any of the work environments found in General Services Administration (GSA) administered space and involve a broad range of hazardous conditions requiring comprehensive, diversified technical skill in identifying and providing technical advice on the elimination of hazards. In addition to office occupancies ranging from single story wood frame building to steel and concrete high-rises, typical areas requiring inspection are garages, laboratories, clinics, cafeterias, printing plants, shops, commercial storage areas and areas where handling, storage or processing of toxic and/or flammable substances take place.
