Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-37. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Canandaigua VA Medical Center, 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, New York 14424-1159, is soliciting quotes for a contractor to provide preventive maintenance for its Eaton Powerware UPS system. Period of Performance: October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015, with four (4) option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. This solicitation will result in a firm fixed-price contract. The (RFP) number is VA528-14-R-0496. The applicable NAICS code is 811219 and the small business size standard is $20.5 million dollars. TELEPHONIC REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. When issued, the solicitation will be available only by downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. The estimated issue date is September 10, 2014 and the anticipated closing date is September 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM EST. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial (FEB 2012), applies to this acquisition. Offers will be evaluated using the Best Value method. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (FEB 2012) applies to this acquisition. All offers must include a completed copy of this provision. All offerors must be currently registered in SAM at website https://www.sam.gov/.
