- Description(s): This is not a request for quote; this is a notice of the government's intent to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Great Minds In Stem (GMIS) - The Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Corporation (HENAAC), 602 Monterey Pass Rd, Monterey Park CA 91754-2419, pursuant to FAR PART 13.106-1(b) "Soliciting from One Source," Washington Headquarters Service, Acquisition Directorate intends to award a sole contract as a means for DoD to increase its minority outreach efforts through visibility within communities that support the professional development and advancement of minorities in the federal government and DoD. DoD's engagement will be maximized through a year-long partnership with HENAAC and will include the benefits such as: Advertising Engagement:  Executive photos in Conference Journal (5)  One full-page advertisement in TECHNiCA magazine, the official conference magazine Strategic Engagement:  Provide a welcome address to the Viva Technology K-12 participants  Keynote, MC and presenter at the Future STEM Leaders Luncheon  Executive presenters at the Salute to Our Military and Civilian Heroes Event  Executive participation in Senior Executive Session  Executive presenter in the HENAAC Awards Show  One (1) College Bowl team  Highlighting top DoD civilian/military STEM professionals - A total of 12 DoD affiliated diverse STEM professionals will be honored during various Signature Events Access Engagement:  (8) Professional full registrations for Thursday - Saturday general events  10x10 Career Fair Booth  (4) Career & Graduate School Fair Morning Break & Lunch tickets  Seminar with package  Seminar due to collaboration with the DoD STEM-Up K-12 Program  (8) Student Leadership Dinner Tickets  Career opportunities promoted in the Recruiting Guide  Reserved signature seating at all the Signature Events This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 10:00 AM, EST on September 18, 2014 by e-mail to richard.c.washington.civ@mail.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
