- Acquisition update to Industry The Air Force has a need for continued accomplishment of the goals, objectives, and priorities associated with the missions of the ATARS Program. The ATARS service contract will be managed by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Agile Combat Support Directorate, Simulators Division (AFLCMC/WNS). The ATARS users are represented by US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), Air Education and Training Command (AETC), Air Combat Command (ACC), and Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). The ATARS contract's mission is to provide comprehensive Formal Training Unit (FTU) schoolhouse operations for unique crew positions across the ATARS Mission Design Series (MDS) aircraft and all aspects of training for AFSOC Special Operations Forces (SOF) aircrews, ACC Personnel Recovery (PR) aircrews, AFGSC Vertical Lift Aircrews in Nuclear Security Response/ Convoy Support and AF District of Washington (AFDW) Vertical Lift Aircrews in Continuity of Government Operations. The baseline requirements of the ATARS program consist of Aircrew Instruction (Initial Qualification, Refresher, Mission Rehearsal, and Concurrency), Student Services, Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), Concurrency Management, Training Systems Support Center (TSSC), aircraft concurrency modifications to the aircrew training devices, Database Management and Generation, Site Security, Configuration and Data Management Control (CM/DM), Information Assurance, and minor Facility Modifications.
