Description
The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement to procure kits to support the General Purpose Processor 3 Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6381 for Recurring Engineering (RE). The new General Purpose Processor (GPP) module supports additional capability requirements to the AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft. The Navy intends to negotiate the effort as a sole source order to the F/A-18 and EA-18G Basic Ordering Agreement with Raytheon Company, El Segundo, CA. Award of the order will be made with authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the prime contractor for the AN/APG-65 and -73 RADARs, Raytheon has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. For small business or subcontracting opportunities, contact Raytheon at (310) 616-1683. See Numbered Note 22.
