Description
This project is located in Brownsville and Pharr, Texas. The General Services Administration (GSA) shall only issue the solicitation for this project in an electronic (PDF) format. The General Services Administration (GSA) is anticipating the solicitation of proposals for a project called Construct Seizure Vaults, Brownsville/Matamoros (B&M) and Pharr Land Ports of Entry (LPOEs). The Contractor shall furnish all of the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools and supervision to accomplish the work as noted in the solicitation documents. The work includes but is not limited to the following: Construction of two Seizure Vaults for the Department of Homeland Security/Customs and Border Protection. The vaults are to be constructed using the drawings and specifications provided by GSA. In compliance with FAR 36.204, the magnitude of this construction project is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 9/26/14. A pre-bid conference date is pending. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is considered to be vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost effective proposal and to understanding the total result desired by the Government. Attending this conference is not mandatory but failure to attend the meeting may not be used as an excuse for omissions and miscalculations in offers. A bid bond (20% of proposal value) is required for this project. Insurance verification as well as a Payment Bond and Performance Bond will be required following award. The Period of Performance (PoP) for the project is 270 days from the issuance of the full Notice to Proceed (NTP). Liquidated damages will be incurred for each day of delay beyond the total time allowed for this project. Liquidated Damages for this project will be $1,500.00 per calendar day of delay.
