Description
This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 511210. This requirement is for software authoring tool for creating 3D video games or other interactive content such as architectural visualizations or 3D animations. Unity Pro contains character controllers, projectors, audio listeners, audio sources, audio clips, multiple cameras, the Unity GUI scripting system, colliders, messages & events, lighting, particle systems, and blob shadows. Unity Pro's development system is asset centric rather than code centric. This places the focus on the assets in much the same way as a 3D modeling application. Unity Pro includes Unity Web Player which is the tool used to display content developed with the Unity Pro application. Unity Pro will be used to develop WIN T interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) training sessions. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The Capability statements shall not exceed two (2) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUB Zone, SDVOSB, etc.); and 4) Familiarity and knowledge of the requirement. Responses are due no later than Wednesday, September 17, 2014, 12:00 am EST, and shall be electronically submitted to hosea.l.berkley.civ@mail.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
